Mobile ordering is amazing and convenient. My family and I use it in our everyday lives at places such as Chic-Fil-A, Starbucks, Chipotle, Panera, etc. Why wait in line when you know what you want? I always get the stink eye from people waiting in a long line, when I breeze past them and pick up my Bacon Gouda breakfast sandwich and Blonde Roast in the morning. Sorry people, you can do it too! LOL!
Our Experience with Mobile Ordering
Last year we started doing mobile order at Disney Parks and it was a lifesaver (read more about it – Mobile Ordering at Disney World Quick Service Restaurants). The last trip we had an 8 and 3-year-old, and lines when you are hungry are no fun. We would literally be waiting in line for a ride, about to board the ride vehicle, and we’re looking at the menu. As soon as we got off the ride, we placed the order for what we wanted and started walking towards the restaurant. By the time we arrived, our food was nearly ready at the mobile order pick-up window. We utilized this feature at places such as Pinocchio’s Tavern and Columbia Harbor House in the Magic Kingdom, Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom, and ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios. There are so many quick service locations that do mobile ordering, be sure to check Disney’s website in advance so you can plan.
Mobile Ordering at Select Disney World Resorts
Guess what? Now, Disney is adding the ability to use Mobile Ordering at Select Disney World Resorts! This will help cut down on the lines in the busy quick service locations during the peak meal period. The only way I wouldn’t use mobile ordering, is if I wanted to stand there and watch someone prepare my food with me picking out options. I’m excited to say that Disney Park’s blog has unveiled that some of the resorts soon to take on mobile ordering are: “Pop Century’s: Everything Pop, The Mara at Animal Kingdom, and Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.”
Can’t wait to try it out!
My family and I frequently stay at Pop Century and we are
planning another visit in just a few short months. We will be trying the mobile
ordering, more than likely for breakfast, prior to entering the parks. This
will help with getting everyone fed and ready in the morning, before embarking
on an exciting adventure in the parks.
Have you used Disney’s mobile ordering service? If so, tell
us about your likes or dislikes?
Whether you are a small child or an adult, there is a joy that is present with everyone when you get to experience any Character Dining Experiences at Walt Disney World. For an adult, it takes you back to your childhood, or maybe you are enjoying the site of seeing joy through your children’s eyes. If you are a child, this might be your hero, your best friend, and the characters that you watch repeatedly in your favorite movie. For a child, they are the real deal.
So where in Walt Disney World are the best character dining experiences?
Well, here are some of our favorite Character Dining Experiences that we highly
recommend that you try.
This dining experience will cost you two table service credits per person, so it is not cheap, but to do this experience at least once in your life, it is well worth it. Once you are checked in at the host stand, you will wait with your party on the bottom story of the restaurant. Here, everyone gets to meet Cinderella in a one on one setting, with her giving ample time to spend with each guest. Once your table is ready, you will be escorted upstairs to the main dining hall of the restaurant via elevator. Here you will have a magical dining experience because you get to meet almost every single Disney Princess.
Meeting all of the Princesses!
The last time we were able to go, we met Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora, Rapunzel, Snow White, Belle, and of course Cinderella. The venue does state that character experiences are always subject to change and can be different. We haven’t been back since Frozen came out, so I’m sure that it is quite possible Elsa and Anna make an appearance. The experience was magical as you are truly dining inside the Castle – so beautiful architecture and stain glass windows all around while meeting Disney Princesses is a must. We do notate that while the food is not the best, this is a must do at least one time while at Disney World – especially if you have a small child who is into Disney Princesses.
This dining experience is buffet style, so the meal goes quickly, but you can go at your own pace. You never feel rushed, so feel free to truly enjoy yourself and go back for more. You get to meet all of Winnie the Pooh and all his friends- Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet. Every single character spent ample time with my daughter, laughing, dancing, and playing around. After they spend time with each child throughout the evening, they do also have a follow the leader type song and dance throughout the restaurant. The entire place is very casual where you can have a great experience in a relaxed environment. This restaurant experience will cost you 1 Table Service Credit if dining on the Disney Dining Plan, but for no wait for the character meet and greet, we highly recommend it.
This table service restaurant is one of the coolest
experiences. Not only is the food great, and served family style, the
restaurant offers meet and greets with Chip and Dale, and at least two other
Disney Characters. We’ve met Donald Duck and Mickey at this restaurant. The
restaurant also is a rotating restaurant with different scenes to look at,
which are scenes also viewable from “Living with the Land” boat ride in Epcot’s
Land Pavilion. The Garden Grill slowly rotates around scenes of a prairie, sandstorm,
rainstorm, rainforest, and farmhouse. We
highly recommend this restaurant to families of all ages.
This restaurant is one of our favorites. Not only does it
have great food in a casual buffet setting, but it also hosts several Disney
Characters. This location hosts a Disney Junior character dining experience for
their breakfast buffet, with favorites like Princess Sofia and Vampirina. It
also hosts select seasonal dining packages with Minnie Mouse and Friends. This
is a very popular restaurant inside Hollywood Studios as it is the only one
that has Character Dining inside this park. We recommend you book reservations
as early as possible (6 months in advance if staying on property) and try to
get there early in the day, so that you can enjoy the rest of the park
afterwards, like Toy Story Land.
Some of the other
popular places to see Characters that are highly ranked for Disney Fans are,
that we haven’t been to (but are scheduled soon) are:
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Epcot – Norway Pavillion)
Visiting Akershus Royal Banquet Hall gives you the best chance to meet Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Snow White, and Aurora while not spending as much as many other similar dining experiences (only 1 Disney Dining Plan credit).

Like all the other festivals, there will be booths located throughout the park, many of which will offer new food and beverage options that we have not seen in the past. Are you excited for the 2019 Epcot International Flower and Garden
I don’t know about you, but making my way through this list
made me really hungry! We cannot wait to
get back out to Epcot so that we can try some of these awesome food and drink
options. Will you be heading out to the
International Flower & Garden Festival in 2019? Have you tried any of the items on display
this year? Let us know your thoughts in
the comments below!
If you are like us, you probably like to start your day with a nice caffeinated beverage. Since many of us are huge creatures of habit when at home, why wouldn’t we expect the same while we are on vacation? If you are heading out to Disney World, you may be wondering if you will be able to get your Starbucks. If you are looking for Starbucks at Disney World, you may not find what you are looking for as the locations within the four main theme parks are not called Starbucks! To get you prepared, we have put together EVERYTHING that you need to know about how and where to get Starbucks at Disney World.
Names and Locations of each Starbucks at Disney World
Starbucks at Magic Kingdom
When you head into the Magic Kingdom, you will be looking for Main Street Bakery. As you enter the park, you will go straight down Main Street USA heading towards Cinderella Castle. About a block and a half down Main Street USA, you will find Main Street Bakery on the right side of the road. If you make it to the Plaza Restaurant, you have gone too far! In the mornings, you can get to this location before the park officially opens as they do allow guests to make their way down Main Street before the park is open – which is great if you want to grab your coffee and then head out to watch the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show!
Starbucks at Hollywood Studios
When visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you will be looking for Trolley Car Café. Like Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, you can access Trolley Car Café prior to the park’s official opening each morning. Usually about 30 minutes before the park officially opens, Hollywood Studios will allow the gests to make their way down to the corner of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard. When you get to this intersection, the Trolley Car Café will be on your right-hand side.
Starbucks at Epcot
In Epcot, you will be looking for Fountain View. As you enter the park, you will make your way through the Leave a Legacy plaques heading towards Spaceship Earth. Go to the right of Spaceship Earth because once you pass it you will come up on the large fountain where you will notice Fountain View to the right.
Starbucks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
As you make your way into the Animal Kingdom, you will have to walk a little further here to find a location called Creature Comforts. As you enter the park, you will head straight towards the Tree of Life. Once on Discovery Island, you will make your way left heading towards Africa. Before you get to the bridge heading into Africa, you will find Creature Comforts on the left.
Starbucks at Disney Springs
At Disney Springs, you will find two separate Starbucks locations, both of which are actually called Starbucks! The first is basically a window where you will place an order and pick it up at the window once it is ready. This one is located near the World of Disney store. The other location is much larger with indoor and outdoor seating. This second location can be found on the West Side near AMC Disney Springs 24.
Things to know about Starbucks at Disney World
Paying for your Starbucks at Disney World
Just about everything on each of the location’s menus can be purchased using your Disney Dining Plan Snack Credits. Now, if you are just ordering a coffee, you might not want to use a snack credit as they begin to lose value if you are not using them on items in the $5 to $6 range, but if you get crazy with your orders, you can make it worth the credit. There are some food items that you can get for a snack credit. I highly recommend the Mickey Shaped Cinnamon Roll if you find it as it is so good, and it is very filling!
You can use your Starbucks Gift Cards, Disney Gift Cards, and you can also use your Starbucks app to pay for your orders at any of the Starbucks locations.
You can get points on your Starbucks rewards, but you cannot earn bonus points.
In the parks, you cannot use your Starbucks Rewards Points for your purchase, however, at the two Disney Springs locations, you can use your Starbucks Rewards Points for your purchase.
The menu will have just about every drink that you are used to getting, but the food items will be a mix of Starbucks treats as well as a few Disney related treats.
As of February of 2019, the park locations do not have Trentas. I hope this changes in the future, but I don’t have high hopes for this.
Disney Themed Starbucks Items
One thing that you will notice while waiting in line is that
the Disney locations all have Disney-themed items available for purchase. They make mugs, gifts, and they even have
Disney/Starbucks Christmas tree ornaments.
Do you need Starbucks to start your day? What is your favorite Disney Starbucks
treat? Let us know in the comments below! Feel free to share this with all your Starbucks-loving
Disney Fanatic friends!
If you have ever visited any of the parks at Walt Disney World, you already know that the words “Disney World” and (insert ANY diet name here) do not go well together. While this is the case, if you are living a Keto lifestyle, you can still enjoy your trip while eating Keto at Epcot. The longer that I have gone in my Keto journey, the easier it has become to completely overcome any cravings for carbs and sugar. That said, Disney World is a little harder to tackle. But, if you can stay strong and avoid temptations, it can be done!
Focus on Staying in Ketosis – Not on the Caloric Intake
When I am at home, I am very strict with my caloric intake as well as my macros. At Disney World, I focus more on staying in keto without really focusing on the calories. I mean, I am on vacation, and I am walking like 10 miles a day while in the parks. One thing to remember is that if you are in a table-service restaurant, let the host know that you have certain dietary restrictions and they will send out a chef to discuss your options. You can almost always make the changes necessary to stay in ketosis. With the quick-service restaurants and snacks, it can be a little harder, but still very possible. In this post, I will be covering my day at Epcot. On this visit, we were there during the International Food and Wine Festival, so the snack options were a little different that it migh be when you are there.
Nice Keto Breakfast at Pop Century’s Everything Pop Shopping and Dining
So, this was our last full day in the parks. We had been up early the last few days to be able to make it into the parks for breakfast, and so to be honest, we decided to sleep in a little today. Since we were taking it easy on this day, I went to Everything Pop Shopping and Dining and grabbed some breakfast for everyone to enjoy in the room while we were getting ready. I decided to go with the Cheese Omelet from Mom’s Kitchen. While it did come with breakfast potatoes, I did not eat them. I also picked up a few cheese snacks from the coolers in the cafeteria. I also picked up a diet coke as I know it would be a little while before I would get my iced coffee.
Awesome Caesar Salad at Sunshine Seasons
After making our way into the park and heading over to Starbucks (Fountain View) over in Future World to grab my iced coffee, we were off to ride a couple of rides. After having a great time on Soarin’ and Living with the Land, we decided to grab some lunch over at Sunshine Seasons. While Sunshine Seasons did have a few great options to choose from, including the Oak-Grilled Rotisserie Chicken and the Slow Roasted Pork Loin, I decided to go with the Caesar Salad with Oak-Fired Chicken. Since I knew that I would be eating a few hearty snacks while making my way through the International Food and Wine Festival, I thought that a lighter option would be the best option. Also, we had dinner reservations scheduled for the German buffet, so I knew I would be eating well for dinner!
Great Keto Dinner at Epcot’s Biergarten Restaurant
Like I mentioned, we had dinner reservations scheduled at Biergarten Restaurant. Beirgarten Restaurant is a German-style buffet, and it had some great keto-friendly options all around! I forgot how much I really enjoy German food! They had a nice selection of salads, multiple German Sausages, and a great carving station. In addition to the great keto options, they also had food that my whole family enjoyed, and an entertaining German show that the kids really loved!
Keto Snacks at the International Food and Wine Festival
So, the highlight for my eating journey at all of Walt Disney World had to be making my way around the world at Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival. So many of the items that we tried were really amazing, and I was able to find a few things that I could eat. Now, on most items, I did have to avoid a little something here and there, but the foods were still great. Here is a list of things that I was able to eat:
At the Australia Pavillion, I had the Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Potato Crunchies – I did scrape off the potato crunchies as they were basically Lay’s Potato Chips.
At the Canada Pavillion, I had the Le Cellier Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce – so good.
At Flavors from Fire, I had the Charred Chimichurri Skirt Steak on a Smoked Corn Cake with Pickled Vegetable Slaw and Cilantro Aïoli – obviously, I handed the corn cake to my wife.
At the Wine and Dine Studio, I had the Seared Scallops, Truffled Celery Root Purée, Brussels Sprouts, and Wild Mushrooms – This was my favorite snack! I had 2!
At Coastal Eats, I had the Baked Shrimp Scampi Dip with Sourdough Baguette – and I tossed the baguette and ate it with a spoon!
After all of the amazing snacks and the heavy dinner at Biergarten Restaurant, we finished up the night with an enjoyable Boys II Men Concert!
Eating Keto at Epcot
So, what do you think? If you are living a Keto Lifestyle, how do you think you would manage at Epcot? I promise you that if I can do it, anyone can! Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below! This post is part of a four-part series where I shared what I ate staying in Ketosis in each parks. Here are the links to the posts detailing what I ate in each of the other parks:
